Ambitious sustainability report for Gefran: target of -25% CO2 emissions

Provaglio d’Iseo. Reducing CO2e emissions by 25% by 2030: this is one of the new objectives of the 2023 Sustainability Report of Gefran, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of sensors, systems and components for the automation and control of industrial processes.
The new commitment to CO2e neutralisation is the result of a mapping carried out by Gefran in 2023, which, in addition to direct Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, has also taken into account indirect Scope 3 emissions in order to obtain a complete overview of the Group’s carbon footprint and highlight the areas and categories with the greatest impact, which is a prerequisite for defining a medium-term action and project plan.
The commitment in this area is part of the company’s sustainability strategy, which is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and today consists of four pillars: human centricity, contribution to ecological transition, sustainable product innovation and supply chain sustainability. Specific goals have been defined for each pillar, which are to be pursued through 26 projects.
