Bovegno. They were in a bag, abandoned next to rubbish bins, six puppies, found by chance by a passer-by who alerted the police.
It happened in Bovegno (Brescia) on Sunday 11 February.
Officers from the canine unit of the Valle Trompia inter-municipal local police force were on the scene. With the help of some volunteers from the ‘Sos cani randagi’ association, they recovered the half-breeds, which were found in good condition. The little dogs are a few weeks old. They were taken in charge by the association, which now hopes to entrust them to someone who will take care of them with affection and dedication.
In the meantime, investigations have been launched to trace the author of the abandonment, who risks criminal charges and a fine of between 1,000 and 10,000 euro.
